This was our last day of our holiday. Got up around 10am and organised our luggage. We now need to buy new luggage. Both cases are now torn. Hope they make it home intact.

Iain dropped Gillian & I off at Fort Salonga train station at 1.45pm and got train to Penn Street Station NY and changed for a train to Newark Airport New Jersey. All trains were perfect. It took just over 2 hours to get to the airport. Then 1 more hour to get through security. Our plane took off 1 hour late. So it’s been a long day.

I have had the best holiday for the past 2 weeks. Spending quality time with my wife Gillian O’Neil daughter Katelin O’Neil. Memories that will last forever. Katelin does not come back until next Monday 19th July with the Marley family.

Last but not least a photo for all the girls still in NY. They all said they really missed Square Sausage & Irn Bru, so this is for you girls, and you guessed it… it  was fantastic!

I am now looking forward to going back to 29studios & moviecom.tv & changing my world again…

We left Miami at 5.00am this morning to catch our 8.00am flight to NY. only 3 hours sleep last night but worth it. We are having the most fantastic holiday. We get to see the Marleys again today.

Struggled to get up this morning, but we are going to jungle island Miami today. Gillian & Katelin want to see the  orangutans.  It’s so hot today at jungle island. We saw the giant turtles and orangutans

Today we wanted to stay out of the sun- and that’s strange coming from someone who stays in Glasgow.

We got the $2 bus to the mall which took about an hour.
Then walked around and bought some more clothes etc.  We need to now buy a bigger case.

This is just an amazing holiday, we are now having a relaxing time in after the “rush” of New York. So we are taking it easy in Miami.

Then the best event in town. We went to Miami ink. It’s my favourite tv show. What a cool shop. I bought a tv shirt, stickers and signed poster. Still a big kid!

Then walked around ocean drive and then got a cab back to our hotel.

We then went to the Bayside Miami, and looked around the shops. Gillian got new shoes, again! We then went to a place called “the knife” for some buffet steak. Gillian loved it.

We then went onto Hard Rock Cafe and got Cocktails, maybe one too many..

Today we set off for our 5 night trip to Miami. We got up at 8.30am with a plan to get the metro then train to Newark airport. However we had far too much luggage and the 100deg heat outside was just too hot. We only managed one block then hailed a yellow cab to take us direct to the airport.  It was about 40mins by taxi. We therefore arrived at 11.30am for our 2pm flight to Miami.

Leaving New York with American Airlines:

Plane took off on time, and we headed for Miami Grand Beach Hotel.  The flight was 3hours and we arrived at 5pm.

We then went out a walk to have a look around, but I think we were just too tired, so we got a cab after walking for an hour to Ocean Drive, and went into a fantastic Cuban restaurant, owned by Gloria Estefan (my daughter said who). Then took a short walk along Ocean Drive, before getting a cab back to the hotel.

Today we set out to walk the Brooklyn Bridge, and WOW did we walk, walk & walk. With temperatures hitting 100F it was a fantastic achievement. From Brooklyn Heights to our Hotel in Times Square.

The day started in the Marquis Hotel exchanging our money.

We then got the Metro to  Brooklyn Heights & got a great lunch. Brooklyn was very quiet, no hustle. We really liked the atmosphere there.

Stopped off a few times for drinks and ice-cream, then arrived back at Times Square via Empire State Building, which is lit up red, white & blue for the 4th July.

Its the 4th of July in NYC. We are having a fantastic holiday. We started today by going to Macys, then headed to Lexington Avenue to a street market. Also stopped of at Grand Central Station.

We had more of a lazy day today, did not get up till 11am, then walked to “The American Natural History Museum” via Central Park. Later we are going to the cinema to see “Grown Ups”.
